Well, thankfully I'm back with an update this week, and I say thankfully because I missed not going and seeing for myself, but didn't Matt do a great job? He's a wonderful writer, and I love his thought process {most of the time}, but the way he puts things into words astounds me.
It's a somewhat hidden talent of his!
Anyway! We arrived later than usual and spent a lot of time with Trainer Matt. He somewhat trained TK during our visit so that he could show us what all TK has learned.
TK has started e-collar, and he is retrieving well!
I don't personally know how much progress he's made since the last visit, but since MY last visit he's a totally different dog!
His "marking" face is like non-other, if you ask me! He's always been a cutie to us, but he's turning into a really handsome dog. Not only that, he's still as witty as ever! He's so funny when he knows we are all watching.
Trainer Matt threw some dummies in the water for TK to retrieve. Right now, he's "cheating" a little by running the bank until he HAS to get in the water, but Trainer Matt assured us that is normal for pups.
After a few scoldings, he was off to the water on the first try!
I love that you can see his mark face from the back. Ears perked, body leaning forward.
Beautiful.
Mom & Dad were impressed, too, obviously?!
TK still has a a soft mouth, but he will hold so much better than when I was there last time. Trainer Matt said that he gave him a duck and his hold is a lot tighter, and some of it has to do with the fact that the duck is just bigger!
See how proud he looks?!
Love those above shots of him.
Ahhh.
Matt decided to show Daddy what he had learned with pointing. He knows left and right!
Boss & TK!
Matt is so proud of his performance!
And the proud family!
Estimated date of home for good? Who knows!
Because he will be competing for a junior title at the end of the year, so until then we will just keep sharing photos from our visits! :)
